Final Environmental Screening Report
Plasco Energy Group continues with the Environmental Screening Process for permanent operations at their Plasco Trail Road waste conversion facility.
Plasco hosted a second public meeting on March 21, 2011 to provide a project update on the Screening Process; share results of the studies and assessment of potential environmental effects; seek input on Plasco’s proposed mitigation measures; and discuss the future of the Plasco Trail Road facility.
This meeting took place at the Goulbourn Recreation Complex in Stittsville.

Plasco Energy Group is seeking approval from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment (MOE) to re-permit its Trail Road municipal solid waste conversion facility, currently regulated under Ontario Regulations 253/06 and 254/06. These special regulations, issued first by the MOE in 2007, along with the corresponding Certificate of Approvals to operate the plant expired on January 21, 2011.
Plasco has commenced the screening process to re-permit PTR under the Ministry of the Environment’s Waste Management Projects Regulation 101/07. PTR is intended to be Plasco’s permanent demonstration and development centre for its commercial scale municipal solid waste conversion technology in Ottawa.

Notice of First Public Meeting
The first of two public meetings during the screening process took place on January 27th, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the Walter Baker Sports Center located in Barrhaven.
